For museums and rights holders
Museum Edit presents the ranges of museum shops so that more people buy from them. Any museum can correct, license or remove its material at any time.
What is shown and where it comes from
Each object page reproduces the title, photographs and description published on the museum shop's own website, names the museum, shows the Museum Edit price, and links to the object on the museum's shop. Museum pages carry a descriptive paragraph and a photograph reused under Creative Commons licences, both credited. Nothing is altered except length.
Removal within twenty-four hours
If you represent a museum or hold rights in any material shown here and want it removed or changed, send a message through the contact form (choose "Rights holder request") naming the museum or the object pages. The material is taken down within twenty-four hours of receipt, before any discussion, and you receive written confirmation. Orders already placed for the objects are completed or refunded.
Becoming a partner
Partner museums receive every order directly, in their own Shopify or WooCommerce shop or through the partner API, on one of three deals (a commission on their own price, a fixed price per object, or Museum Edit's commission added to the buyer's price), and license their photographs and text to Museum Edit for the listing. The partner terms are two pages; the partner desk gives each museum its orders, payouts and range in one place. Claim your museum to start.
Corrections
Wrong category, outdated price, missing credit: write and it is corrected within one working day. Prices and stock are re-read from each shop's feed several times a day.
